George is a UK-based photographer who focuses on black-and-white (mostly) photography of people, places, and life. Originally from Athens, Greece, he loves to explore different points of view and how people experience everyday life. Capturing those moments in street and portrait photography, as well as multi-disciplinary projects, are the main catalysts for his creativity, whether working with a specific brief or finding and documenting beauty in the mundane and overlooked. He also loves to branch out with landscapes and conceptual photos tailored to specific projects.
His work has been featured by Street Photography International, exhibited in the Glasgow Gallery of Photography, and has been published in the Guardian. Past exhibitions include showings at the Benaki Museum in Athens, the Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design & Space, and smaller group exhibitions in Athens and Chania. His photos have appeared in print and digital, from album covers to posters.
Besides photography, George also has a background in engineering and is currently pursuing his PhD in wind energy at the University of Strathclyde.
